The ICA is really beautiful. Modern Art isn’t my favorite. My threshold for abstractionism is set at a very specific level. Anything beyond that and I just gloss over, feeling violated and uneasy, whispering cuss words under my breath. Also one piece was literally a sofa and a steel chair placed upside-down. Deep.
I found myself mesmerized even more by the actual structure of the building. Its right on the water and the very top floor has a huge partition that jets out from the previous three. Theres also this funny almost dorsal fin-like partition that comes out of the top floor so that when you’re inside, you have a 45 degree angle of the ocean.
There’s also an observation deck on the 4th floor. That was cool since the glass was so thick it was like a half-transparent mirror.
I took pictures.

This is a picture of the Barking Crab, the place I went to gorge myself in fried food. Don’t get the fisherman’s platter for yourself if you go, you will be presented with a fantastic amount of food that your pride will not allow you to even half-finish. You will be consumed with the desire to finish off your plate and then, I’m positive, you will die. I know this from experience. That’s right, I am writing this from the grave.
